Creation

If I ever write such a story, this would be the opening paragraph:

Man has always wanted control over nature. Whenever he gets it, he makes a mistake, and people die. Then we learn not to do that mistake again, and we make others, instead.
So, as the creature rose from the pink waters of the containment area, the thoughts going through it's mind were ones of confusion, of interest. It had, after all, in a past life, been a scientist. Then, it's preditorial instincts took over, and no-one escaped the lab. No-one dared enter, and those who did, never returned. Some went in, none came out. Then, a few years after creation, the creature got bored of it's cavernous lab dwelling...
