Time for dogs

I've heard that because the life of a dog is so much shorter than our time, that it means that it's perception of time is different.
Maybe this is because it's memory is far better, and therefore, at least short-term, it's memory records everything in perfect detail, taking longer for the dog to see/feel/smell the sensory information.
