I most recently found a very interesting web-based, free program [please note that this is the usual combination for useless, annoying and stupid] that is actually quite good. howthemarketworks.com is a top-notch free stock-market simulation, which is very cool for using real stats, with 15-20 minutes delay. Here, you can chose how much "money" you can have available to you to "buy" "stocks".
It also has a forum.
